Project Description

Children’s Dentistry Services

Your child’s teeth are at risk for tooth decay as soon as they emerge. Tooth decay in children is often called Baby Bottle Tooth Decay, which often occurs in the upper front teeth.

In some cases, children experience tooth decay so severe that their teeth cannot be saved.

Here are some other common dental problems in children:

  • Teeth grinding – Also known as bruxism, can wear away enamel on baby or permanent teeth, causing dental and/or muscular pain.
  • Thumb sucking – This is natural for infants, and it serves an important purpose. For children 2 years of age and older, however, thumb sucking can have a negative impact on erupting teeth.
  • Over-retained baby teeth – A baby tooth still in position as a permanent tooth erupts indicates a potential problem and is called an over-retained tooth. This indicates a potential problem, which needs the immediate help of a dentist.
