Dr. Katie Reardon Skinner

Dr. Reardon Skinner’s goal is to make every patient’s experience exceptional. Dr. Reardon Skinner understands that patient communication and collaboration are the most important components to long term dental health success.

Dr. Reardon Skinner transitioned into General Dentistry Limited on January 1, 2014. Dr. Reardon graduated from the University of Denver in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She went on to additional schooling and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University’s School of Dentistry in 2010. Dr. Reardon Skinner is a Sioux Falls native and third generation dentist, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandfather.

Dr. Reardon Skinner has a special gift with children, which makes family dentistry a priority for her. She is also involved in learning the more advanced skill set required for full mouth rehabilitation and implant dentistry.

Dr. Reardon Skinner is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the South Dakota Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a member of the Young Professionals Network and Foundation for Airway Health. Dr. Reardon Skinner enjoys furthering her education in dentistry and considers herself to be a lifelong student. In her spare time, Dr. Reardon Skinner enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading and painting.

Dr. Gayle Tieszen Reardon

Dr. Gayle Tieszen Reardon’s practice mission is helping her clients become optimally healthy. She and her staff of dental specialists partner with the client to overcome disease, to correct dental anomalies, to improve dental and facial aesthetics, and to educate for the proper care and maintenance of oral structures (including the teeth, their supporting structures, and their restorations).

Dr. Gayle Tieszen Reardon obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  In 1978, she graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She received additional prosthetic training in a non-degree “Adult Prosthetics” program instituted by the University of Minnesota in 1979.  Dr. Reardon joined the dental practice of her father, Dr. Reuben Tieszen, in May 1979. For the next twelve years, her father was her mentor and tutor, nurturing her professional development and technical skills in the profession of dentistry.

Dr. Gayle has served as Visiting Faculty of the Pankey Institute (www.pankey.org) since 1998. She has also served on the Pankey Institute’s Board of Directors and its Provost Committee.

Dr. Gayle is active in her community, in her church, and has served on the Avera McKennan Hospital Board of Trustees as well as the Augustana College Board of Trustees. While on the Board of Avera McKennan Hospital, she served as chairperson of the Behavioral Health Hospital Art Committee.

Dr. Gayle and her husband, Tom, have two daughters, Katherine and Kimberly. Katie graduated from the University of Denver in 2006 and went on to graduate from Creighton University’s School of Dentistry four years later. Kimberly is a 2008 graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder with a major in Communications.

After thirty years of full time clinical dental practice, Dr. Gayle made the decision to pursue a dental diagnostic specialty in the area of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Iowa College of  Dentistry. In 2008, Dr. Gayle began the journey as a non-traditional student professional, completing her program with a Masters in Science degree in Oral Diagnostics and a specialty in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Her specialty training is of particular use in the area of Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostics and also Dental Implantology Surgical Guidance and Treatment Planning.

When Dr. Gayle is not in her office, she enjoys spending time oil painting, doing bronze sculpture, playing the piano, and trekking with their Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Charlie, Winston, Duncan and Kaiden.

Focused on high quality care and optimal health, Dr. Gayle and her team collaborate with each client to create an individualized plan of treatment that will achieve the client’s desired outcomes. Dr. Gayle is a committed lifelong student, participating in and also teaching continuing education courses with regularity. Her clients benefit from her learning as Dr. Gayle has worked with the best and brightest minds in dentistry.

Becky, Registered Dental Hygienist

Becky grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and graduated from the University of South Dakota dental hygiene program in 1995. She joined our office 14 years ago and is passionate about our patient’s oral health and education.

Becky lives in Tea, SD with her husband Brant and her 3 girls Emily, Allison and Sarah. In addition to attending her girls’ activities, she enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.

Alleana, Registered Dental Hygienist

Alleana grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene in 2006. She has been practicing dental hygiene for over 16 years now. She loves getting to help her patients understand the connection to how important a person’s dental health can be related to the overall systemic health of a person’s body.   Alleana moved to Sioux Falls in 2007 after marrying her husband who grew up in South Dakota. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Denton and their two kids, Mckenna and Evan. They stay active with their kid’s activities and always love family camping in the summers, being outdoors, playing with their family dog.

Vonni, Registered Dental Hygienist

Vonni Knutson has been a pivotal part of Reardon Dental Health since 1989 when she joined the team as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Vonni feels blessed to be part of such a family-focused, health-centered practice. In her spare time, Vonni is involved in the activities of her church and she enjoys participating in her local community theatre productions. A native of Mitchell, South Dakota, Vonni and her husband, Steve, live near Centerville, South Dakota.

Emily, Dental Assistant

Emily moved from New Ulm, Minnesota to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2012. She graduated from the dental assisting program through South Central College in Mankato, Minnesota. Emily loves getting to know patients and helping them feel at ease throughout their appointments. When Emily isn’t working, she enjoys being a dog mom to Ruby, crocheting, reading, and being active outdoors.

Carissa, Office Manager

Carissa joined our team in December 2018, but is not new to the dental field. She brings 20 years of dental experience to our office. She enjoys working with patients on the financial aspects of their dental needs. She helps patients with communication between them and their insurance company to maximize benefits available. When not working, Carissa enjoys spending time with her husband Rod and their two sons, Andrew and Riley. Her youngest son keeps her busy going to bowling matches and motocross events.

Jessica, Scheduling Coordinator

Jessica grew up in Canby, MN. She graduated from Minnesota West Community and Technical College with an Associates Degree in Dental Assisting. She joined our team in 2019 with over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She enjoys working with patients, explaining procedures to patients, and making them feel comfortable before their appointments. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, their two kids Kaden and Kendra, and their dog Pepper. She enjoys camping and traveling in the summer and spending time with family and friends.

Paige, Dental Assistant

Paige grew up in Sioux Falls. She joined our team in 2017, took some time off for a year and is now back with Dr. Katie and loving every minute of it. She has been in the dental field for close to 10 years. She really enjoys getting to know all the patients and making them feel comfortable in the chair. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 young children and 2 dogs which all keep her very busy. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside, playing games, and grilling out with her family.
